Temperatures have plummeted, the playground is cold and icy so P2/3's art looks right at home on their classroom walls.  They have used chalk on a dark background to make their very own snowman.  Have a look at them - each one is different.

Scottish-Polish Calendar Project

P2/3 have been hard at work making calendar pages for our International Calendars.  We have send 6 months of calendar pages to Poland for our friends and they have sent the same back to us.  When they all arrive they will be put together and each boy and girl in our class (and our Polish link-class) will have a calendar to take home.  Half of it will have been designed and made in Poland and the other half in Scotland.  We have enjoyed doing this project and we are excited about putting them together shortly.  Take a look at our work on the calendars.

Halloween Fun 2009

Primary 2/3 went outdoors last week to explore the changing seasons. They had noticed more leaves lying in the playground which means more work for Gerry our janny, as he sweeps them up to make sure the playground doesn't get slippery. The boys and girls decided to do their bit for "recycling" and collected the leaves for their artwork. They also looked at the shapes of the various trees in the playground then returned indoors with Miss Dooris to begin their artwork.

Sad Farewell to Leah from P2/3

Today the whole school said a very sad farewell to Leah who is moving to Australia to start a new life there. All the staff and pupils wish Leah, Jorja and her parents the very best as they begin their new life in Australia together. Leah left today with email addresses and is a pro at video-conferencing so I'm sure we'll be hearing from her again very soon.
